GiveBLK

“Eliminate Inequity, Culminate Opportunity.”

Our goal is to empower the entire Black Diaspora through collaboration, insight-driven initiatives, and building power within the community.

“This is very possible to … get our whole community to become one instead of us just being sections of one.”

– Daryl “DJ” Riley, Jr.

Highlights

Invesco QQQ Legacy Classic: In December 2022, GiveBLK proudly collaborated with the Invesco QQQ Legacy Classic, founded by Michael B. Jordan to support HBCUs. We facilitated an HBCU student ambassador program, selecting over 10 students to showcase their schools and the event through social media and active participation. The program included visiting iHeartRadio NYC to hear Michael B. Jordan speak and an exclusive experience at the Prudential Center during the Legacy Classic, with students enjoying complimentary food and Puma gear in the Pizza Hut suite. This initiative demonstrated our commitment to educational empowerment and community building within the Black Diaspora.

College Prep Workshop: GiveBLK’s College Prep Workshop equips aspiring college students with the knowledge and tools to successfully navigate the college admissions process, including application preparation, financial aid, and essay writing. By providing these resources, we aim to ensure students from the African Diaspora are well-prepared to pursue higher education and achieve their academic goals.

Speaking Engagements: GiveBLK has actively participated in several prestigious speaking engagements, showcasing our commitment to empowering the African Diaspora. We spoke at the Howard University & PNC National Entrepreneurship Black Commerce Conference, sharing insights on fostering entrepreneurial spirit within Black communities. Additionally, we were featured on David Tyree’s podcast, “Catch the Moment,” where we discussed our mission and impact. We also participated in an immersive 2-day learning lab for Black entrepreneurs hosted by Louis Vuitton and shared our entrepreneurial journey at the Accenture Philly office, further emphasizing our dedication to providing resources and support for Black entrepreneurs.
